Neemrana: The body of a man was found hanging from a tree in a forest behind a government college on the road leading to the Baba Gyani Nath Ashram in Neemrana, Alwar, on Monday morning. Police reached the spot after being informed, took the body into their possession and began the process of a postmortem.
Deceased originally from Kota district
According to police, the deceased has been identified as 40-year-old Alam, son of Fauj Ram Banjara. He was originally from Anantpura, Anandpur, in Kota district, and was currently living in Neemrana.
At around 7 am, the family received information that a man was hanging from a tree in the forest. When family members reached the spot, they found Alam’s body hanging from the tree.
Neemrana Police also reached the scene. After gathering details at the spot, police had the body brought down and sent to a hospital for a postmortem. After the postmortem was completed, the body was handed over to the family.
Police register case
According to police, Alam was addicted to alcohol. The late Alam is survived by two sons, Mukesh and Anil, who work as labourers. They and other relatives reached the spot after learning of the incident, and the family is in mourning.
Police have registered a case and started an investigation. They are currently looking into the circumstances and the cause of the incident. Further action will be taken on the basis of the postmortem report and the investigation. A crowd had gathered in the area after news spread of the body being found in the forest.
