Ujjain: The last rites of senior Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader late Vinod Kumar were performed in Ujjain. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav joined the funeral procession and helped carry the bier.
Late Vinod Kumar was a senior RSS pracharak. He had earlier served as the Kshetra Pracharak of the Madhya Kshetra. He was also the Akhil Bharatiya Sah Pracharak Pramukh (All India Joint Pracharak Chief) and an invited member of the Akhil Bharatiya Karyakarini (All India Executive) of the organisation.
He passed away on 6 October, following which leaders of the RSS and the BJP expressed grief.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, BJP state president Hemant Khandelwal, former Madhya Pradesh chief minister and Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, and senior state cabinet minister Kailash Vijayvargiya were among those who condoled his death. They recalled his service to the nation and society.
